Japanese kimekomi hina ningyo Japanese kimekomi hina ningyo Japanese kimekomi hina ningyo "Ningyo" -Japanese Kimono doll- Dolls have played an important role in the life of the Japanese children. Colorful Hina-Ningyo, a set of dolls dressed in costumes worn in the royal court in ancient times, are displayed during the Girls' Festival/March 3, expressing wishes for the future happiness of girls. Kimekomi-Ningyo is also one of the most popular dolls created by carving lines in wood made from solidifying wooden powder with starch, and inserting kimono cloth into the lines. "Kimekomi-ningyo" is not intended to represent reality, as with most of other kinds of doll. This style is particularly popular with middle - aged and older doll lovers because it always has a certain charm. The common doll called "Isyo-ningyo" (clothes doll) does try to mimic reality through faithful reproduction of small details. In contrast, the Kimekomi-ningyo derives its beauty from a gently-sculpted, modified outline of the human form. The interesting shapes of these dolls give them their special appeal. As for facial expressions, while Isyo-ningyo have a realistic faces with embedded glass eyes, Kimekomi- ningyo have eyes carefully painted using a fine brush. The intention is simply to create a gentle harmony with the soft curves of the body shape. We are adjacent to the town of Iwatsuki, which has the highest production output of dolls in Japan and the town is literally called "the town of the doll". We guarantee our production system, which is one of consistency and high quality through our skilled craftsmen. We are also working actively on the development of unique new dolls which are not conventional and we recommend each of them with confidence.
